Dot and the Dragon

Dot, the little ladybug, wakes up as the sun shines. The meadow is fragrant, the grass is soft. Dot's wing flutters.

Lili the fairy comes. She has a little map, with red dots on it. Here is the lake. Here is the tree. Here is the mountain.

Zsomi the dragon is looking for a big, red ball. The ball rolled away. "Will you help, Dot?"

Dot nods. Lili laughs. "We go, we go!" They watch the road. The stream burbles. "Drip-drop," says the water.

Nunu the unicorn comes. His mane is white, his horn is shiny. Nunu helps. He lifts them and carries them across the stream.

A colorful bridge shines. A gate opens. Here is the Tinkling Meadow.

They arrive at a flower field. There is a big tulip, and the ball is stuck in it. Dot pushes. Lili pulls. Nunu blows.

"Poof!" says the flower. The ball rolls out. Dot catches it. "Hurray!" shouts Lili. "Hurray!" says Nunu.

They go back. Zsomi waits for them. Zsomi is big, but good. His green scales sparkle. His warm breath puffs out.

Zsomi laughs. "Thank you!" The ball rolls. Dot rolls it, Zsomi rolls it too. They all laugh.

Zsomi gives a stone. The stone tinkles. It is a tiny magic stone. Dot puts it away. The sun smiles. A friend is good!
