Brothers Grimm

Jacob Grimm (1785–1863) and Wilhelm Grimm (1786–1859) were German philologists and collectors of folk tales who published one of the most influential collections of folk stories in the 19th century. Their work documented oral tradition and helped lay the foundations of early folklore studies. Many of the tales they collected have become classic stories that are still read and adapted today.
