Penny has a sock. Red. Polka-dotted. Soft. Warm.
Penny pulls it on. Onto her foot. Good! Penny laughs. Hop!
Penny takes it off. Pulls it onto her hand. It becomes a puppet! The puppet greets. "Hi, hi!" Penny giggles. "Haha!"
It goes on her head. It becomes a hat! Her hair tickles. "Tickle-tickle!" Penny wobbles. "Oops!"
Berry, the dog, comes. "Woof-woof!" The sock slides onto his nose. Berry sneezes. "Achoo!" Everyone laughs. Laughs a lot!
Cindy, the kitten, comes. "Meow!" The sock travels on her tail. "Slip!" Cindy spins. "Round and round!"
Bobo, the frog, comes. "Brekeke!" The sock climbs onto the banana. "Brr-brr! Banana-phone!" "Hello, Sock?" Penny says. Sock doesn't speak. Just sits. Still funny.
The sock jumps on a ball. "Bounce! Bounce! Bounce-bounce!" Penny claps. "Clap-clap!"
Now it becomes a train. Penny is in front. Berry is behind her. Cindy and Bobo join too. Sock is the engine. "Clack-clack! Choo-choo! Dangle, dangle!"
The sock gets tired. Penny too. The sock gets on the shelf. It rests. Penny rests too. A smile remains. The laughter remains. "Hop-hop, the fun is done!"
The end
